Before I forget, Would love to include a special friend...
A friend..?? or should i say a teacher..??
It was my Albino Pal, Rafaa's earnest request that I should include her in my blog too.
Hence, here comes My Royal Friend...
My Economics Professor, Daisy Santmayor.
Basically, she is a wonderful teacher and not just that, but, a great person too.

When I meet somebody, it is the first impression that matters the most.
If I don't like a person in the first encounter, I will never be able to appreciate them later too.
But, she is one of the few exceptions because
at the very beginning, I was not a fan of hers at all.
But, with time,
I started inculcating interest towards the subject and the credit is truly hers.

2007 passed and 2008 dawned.
And, why i call her my Royal Friend...?
you might be making various guesses.
It was a memorable incident... dating back to 11th march, 2008.
That's the day when she had told me...
"Thanx for Being such a wonderful friend."

From then on, I started getting close to her.
Now, at the end of my 12th, I feel she is one of the teachers I will miss meeting.
Am a highly sarcastic little soul
and would enjoy teasing her and unlike others,
She is a charming Gemini,
who loves to talk away to glory and would sportingly bear my cheeky blows and would never leave a chance to tease me too..!
Simply treasure the togetherness i enjoyed with her.
The few special incidents that strike my mind.. everytime i think of her.. are..

First And the Foremost...
Once our class had organised a function for the staff members but, she had missed it...basically, she had forgotten it And this was something I never expected.
So i had stopped talking to her...The next day, she told me..
"Aru, Am feeling guilty yaar...Baat Kar Na! Please..."
And, I acted truly pricy and didn't speak but later on...I felt I was wrong on my part and so said sorry to her and asked her not to feel guilty...and, to my utter amazement..
She told me...in her special naughty way
"When Was I feeling guilty..??"
And, I just didn't have anything to say.. was completely flabbergasted to hear this reply..Still remember that day.

Second one..
a pretty hilarious one...
During the lectures, It is tough for any teacher to stop me from speaking and hers too is no exception.
Infact, she would get extra dose of comments from me.
Once, she was teaching something and said that various malls give discounts.
And, there I went... screaming.. Big Bazaar.. Pantaloons...Star Bazaar...Nirmal Lifestyle...Subhiksha...Infinity etc..!
Now, she said
"Aru... no more.
I will pick you up and throw you out of the window."
She thought that would have put me to silence... but in vain.I replied..
"You Cannot..!"
and, even she couldn't control replying..
"Don't challenge me... I will... I can..
Atleast I can punch you and make a poster of yours on the wall."
And, after that lecture, she had given me mentos..haha...
I simply loved the pampering she would shower on me.

But, sure there were days when she like a perfect guide made me understand what's wrong and what's right.
But, even her serious lectures were never without smiles.
I remember once she had scolded me and then,
Had asked me to solve papers and threatened
If at all, I didn't study hard, she would drop in at my house to make me proper and i had said...
"Ya COME OVER TO MY PLACE AND HAVE LUNCH...OKEY??"
and, after hearing this... she could simply not stop laughing and said,
"THIS SMILE OF YOURS ALWAYS SAVES YOU..."
Now that the time has come to leave the college,
I realy feel too low when i look back and recall these events as i know that am not going to get all these back to relive them.
But, nevertheless, these act as the softest cushion when nothing on Earth seems to be happy and i feel extremely upset.
Thanx a lot for supporting me.. and guiding me towards what is right.

THE SUPPORT I CRAVE FOR...

The person who comes to my mind just after Gaurav is Sanchayan.
Yes! I hope you got the name right..

Sanchayan Bhattacharjee
or
Sunshine..??
or Dibbo..??

SO many names for one multi-talented...multi-cellular...specimen of Humanity!
He is more of a big brother..
But, at times, we swap roles according to the situations and it's tough to tell then, who is elder among us!
He has been a true anchor for my Ohh so unpredictable life... for the past few months.

We both share one regret...and we will have it forever.
It is like..
My Mom would go gaga about this guy... during my schooldays.
She would retort..
"Rupa Scolds her Son for no rhyme nor reason, Sanchayan is a true all-rounder."

Yet, I never had met him. Weird, isnt it?
The weirder fact is...
Gaurav and Sanchayan were best buddies, would enjoy evenings playing soccer together.
Yet, We never met... even chance mettings never happened.

But, it is very rightly said that
If the Universe conspires for a relation, then, nothing worldly can ever stop it from happening.
And, thus, I met this wonderful guy on my very 1st day of Junior College.
And, because I had heard a lot about him from my Mom, I asked my pal, Vaisakhi that There is this guy named Sanchayan or sunshine in her class...
Then, she pointed out towards
a tall fellow, with big and thick spectacles and how can I forget, he too seemed as if his flesh was stolen away like mine.
I thought.. Ohh! He is the first person I met, as thin as I am.
Though, it was simply a hi and a hello that day but, later on..

Just cannot predict How..
But, we became extremely close. Rather, cannot guess the precise moment, but, I started addressing him as my Dada and am grateful to God for the support he gives me...

I even have lot many memories with him... But yes...
few ones That I will never forget are..
Firstly,
The 1st October....

Our Day 1 of the Founder's day rehearsal,

when after our tiring practise session, we had Pav Bhaji together...
and, one of our friends, interpreted that lunch of ours as a date and went around saying
He was That Someone Special of Mine..

and, we both were amazed at such a finding..
It was actually hilarious...
When I heard it for the first time, I thought of consulting an ENT and even suffered from a shock
But, anyway... crazy people keep on spreading crazy rumours.
Now, one of those

phases that brought us really close to each other .

We discovered new individuals, within us that we thought were dormant till date...
It was the entire rehearsal time from 1st october till 11th october.
It was a superb time spent with him that I will never forget.
He is the only guy, who has seen me cry...
I had wept and wailed in his presence and he too was upset...

And tried his best to console me...
The support and the canopy of care that he gave me then,

I don't think anybody else could have given me ever.
But, let the bygones be bygones.
Don't want to open or reveal any of that too personal memory.
Nevertheless, the way he stood by me... When my entire world had left me,

I guess...he proved that he is really the brother I needed next to me.
I can proclaim that he is the only fellow i can confide in!

Last and a truly special memory is...
When a girl had played a prank on him and unfortunately,

his cellphone was confiscated...
I had given "dhamki" rather threatened that girl for playing such a prank...
Later on, I have had too much of fun, teasing him...
and, his expressions were worth recording...
How i wish I would have had a video camera at that very moment.

One very important lesson I have learnt from him is...
To give time to everything.. and not to hurry and to be calm and patient.

and, yes! Am proud that he has finally learnt the Art of filling greeting cards

and the credit goes to me..
Don't you agree, Bro! ? !
Canot thank him as he says too much of formality doesn't suit me..
Hence, a Big Cheers to You!

My 4evr Prankmate!

I would definitely be a sinner if I don't include this fellow into my list of dearest pals...
My partner in all the naughty pranks dating back to our schooldays...

Yes..! Gaurav Joshi..

Would love to confess it here in the blog..
I was smitten by his handwriting...
Infact, anybody would be for that matter..

Have been knowing this chap for more than 6 years now...
He doesn't seem to have changed even a bit over the years.

Back in those days, we would go on and on chattering about every possible non-sensical topic from
How to waste time till
How cruel a manager Jose Mourinho is..
Have got too many cherished memories with him..
He is one of those guys who has seen me going through bad phase and even I have seen him..
And, yes! he has never a mere spectator, but he took the pain to help me out.
Actually, we both suffered from the same problems...
You See..the Like-Minded Connection strengthens our bond..
He is also a typical saggi... Just like me...
An expert at playing with words... and studying is even his part time job..
rather, it is a burden for both of us..

Would Love to share few of our memorable incidents..

First one of the lot...
We were crazy football freaks and we worshipped RuuD VaN NistelrooY...
And, every year,we celebrate His Birthday Together... on 1st July.
Though, now we don't reside at physical proximity and hence, cannot be together on this auspicious day..
but, still we make it a point to celebrate our God's Birthday!
During our school days, we would don the Man Utd jersey and buy chips..pastries and other junk food and then
Holla..! there we went enjoying this day as if it was our own birthday!

Second One...
It was the FIFA world cup craze that made us ill in 2007!
Football fever was high and, during the Dull Chemistry and Biology Lectures...
[we thought so.. others never thought for they understood the matter]
we would make graffitti on our last pages of the notebook and sketch football fields and what not..
We were busy doing all these when we both heard somebody screaming..
"Arundhati and Gaurav...!"
N our heads turned.. Ohh! Our Bio teacher...all set to crunch our little innocent heads n our graffittis...
She caught our sketches and Gaurav's place too was changed and, even today,
we term this incident as.. "red card mil gaya edwin van der sar ko!"
Can never forget that day..!
We had taken so much of pain to make it..!

Last and my favourite one...
We would go for a computer class..There were 4 students..
And, we both would never stop our talks and, Our teacher was the calmest person i have ever met in my life..
In the early months, she never got angry.. and simply said.. "please pay attention..."
but, with time, our talks became unstoppable and our dearest Lekha Ma'am had to literally hit us with a thin stick..
and, i remember, Gaurav would always try to hide it somewhere... and
Ma'am knew it so she began keeping a spare stick too..
Later on, we had a notebook, which was reserved for the talking purpose..
we would talk over pages... and I still cherish all those talks of ours..!
Hey buddy..!
I Swear whatever happens, you will always be my best buddy!
Cheers and luck to you!

My Best Buddy From Schooldays...!

Grishma Ahluwalia...

She has been a very close friend of mine.

Though great distances exist betwen us, today..
She still is my forever best friend...
Grish.. That's how I dearly address her..!

Here, I would love to dedicate a short story I had written for her...
soonafter fate had ended our days of togetherness..

WHEN FATE MET MATES...

The friendship That existed between grish n me…was a subject of envy for everybody else.. as it was truly magical and unconditional.. It was the talk of our 2nd room...that's our classroom. We didn't match in anything though. I would chirp away to glory andflaunt my pearly whites. Troubles being my best buddy next to Grishma. Was ever ready to help out my friendsand in thorough love with English. I even had a part-time job...that was studying. While Grishma... Dutiful, Disciplined, Shy, Perfectionist, Scholastic Mastermind..in short an Allrounder...but one has to pardon her for her unpunctuality. It was just an enigma for the fellow palsto solve that how did we achieved such a fascinating friendship...??

I had learnt some of the basic lessons of life from Grishma..that's not to hurt others by teasing them, being patient, what is trust and never to break promises. Grishma had her own way of looking into situations...which never matched my outlook. I, being punctual had to wait for her everyday since we both entered the school together....I would everyday threaten her that I won't wait for her anymore, but both of us, knew deep in our hearts that it was just a fake show of anger. I would help Grishma in her disciplinary duties [Would rather play with the kids while she would try to administer discipline in them while the school dispersal] and even draw diagrams at times for her journals.

I was never a great scholar like Grishma. But, she never boasted of this fact. Infact, she would be very concerned about my studies. Our silly argument still adds a bright touch to my canvas of life.. Grishma gradually started nurturing her habit of receiving treats without any reason from me. She would always correct my flaws...Though, she never meant to hurt me, but if I would be the stubborn soul, Grishma would even use her weapons of words... which werereal blows...reminding... the ACT 5 Julius Caesar dialogue..

"Words Before Blows Countrymen..!!.. "

But just as the saying goes...
"Nothing can stay at the zenith for a long time..."
It was maybe our fate that made us hit the splitways. The long Evening Strolls and the Gossips saw their end approaching...Our board Exams were on the run.. when on the 12th March afternoon... Grishma spoilt my mood with the disheartening news that she might be shifting and she maybe here for only about another 22 days. But, that small word 'might' left me witha glowing ray of hope and I thought because April Fool's day is nearing maybe Grishma is playing a prank. But, even this doubt was washed away when I witnessed the packing going on at her place with my own eyes. Though God had numbered our days of togetherness, he failed to do so for our friendship to last. Because as Grishma's car receded away from my town... the essence of friendship was not at all admonished by the distance. It was still the same. The heavenly phone service helped the bond survive and thus our friendship is still a sheer topic of discussion among our pals...
We are the best of friends..!!..

Have met many new ones.. n am enjoying the company of many great friends too..
but, somehow,
Grish still occupies the softest corner of my heart….

Hope our friendship persists forever regardless of where our future may lead us to...!!...
Three Cheers to our Friendship..
Hip Hip hurray..!!..
